======================================================================+ <: Janota 1935 ... /HOME/aboutJ1935 EXIT| ----------------------------------------------------------------------+----------------------------------------------------------------------+ The Prague-located band, Janota 1935 was born in pub "U Jarolimku" in autumn 1994. Since the first demo called Msgre. Massaud (1997), they name their style "noisechanson", however it is not suitable expression at all. They soon appeared on well known Czech festival of alternative music - Alternativa 1998 - in the section "A Small Alternative Thrash Can for Losers Like You". Year 1998 meant for the band also the year of first real concert activities. They still rememeber gig in club Sklepy in Boskovice, where they tried to commit ritual suicide by alcohol. In 2001, they released the first CD "Mechanické zvíøe" (Clockwork Animal) on G.Parrot Records. After that they appeared on some well-known Czech summer festivals - Boskovice 2001 and Trutnov 2001. Well, to be honest, the concert of Fear Factory I wouldn't recommend even to my worst enemy. During this year it was possible to notice Janota 1935 on the hitparades (for the first time for very short time). You could also see them once in J1935 dedicated episode in Alternative Music Soap Opera on local cable TV "O". In 2002 the band again played on Alternativa festival in the another section - "Big Alternative Thrash Can" and they gained their first experinces on international scene (DE and F).
